Public Safety Has To
Come First
by Andrew Perretti

One would think that almost a
decade after 911, our respective
branches of government would
have figured out how Building 7
imploded within its footprint.
Instead, they just passed the buck
on to a new super agency called
Homeland Security. Fine. If that's
the best you can do on a federal
level, then Uncle Sam needs to give
latitude to each state to input some
numbers in the equation and see
where the focus of post 911
investigation needs to be. This
worked in the past where the
federal government would concede
domestic decision making and
policy to the individual states.
That's the benefit of having fifty
separate but equal entities united
federally, but each endowed with
self governance.

More Power To The States

IBC Solutions is not standing by idle
while the incumbents in NYS
maintain a status quo that hasn't
worked thus far. Einstein referred to
this as the definition of insanity.
One can not expect change without
adding variables into the equation.
NYS politicians need to engage the
process and propose constituent
based amendments that address
each need for change. So far, the
only thing our legislators have
proven is that they are good fund
raisers, and know how to comply
with party politics. They are great at
schmoozing around town, enjoying
free food, and ego building
attention that distracts them for
doing the job they were hired to do.
They are adapts at skirting direct
questions, not keeping their
promises, and putting their political
careers first.  In essence, they are
all full of sh%t, or we wouldn't be
paying $4.50 for a gallon of milk,
$3.45 for a gallon of gas, and $3.49
for a loaf of 9 grain bread! How do
they have the b%lls to ask for
donations from people who can
barely pay their mortgages, with
high interest credit card debt, car
insurance that's through the roof,
student loans over-due, child
support judgments, unpaid utility
bills, and no food in the refrigerator
is beyond me!

We need advocates for change
that are not going to go with the
flow. We need reliable
representatives that don't
mindlessly cosponsor bills just to
garner support for a trade-off down
the road. We need enthusiastic
leaders that put the people first, the
government second and
themselves last in all processes;
not self serving individuals who only
care about staying in office no
matter what the cost. We need
candidates that don't spend a
whole year trying to advance their
careers while the job they were
elected to do is neglected and the
people who hired them suffer. We
need a change period the end...

I'm engaged, and I don't mean
engaged to be married! I'm not a
candidate, nor am I a minister. I'm
an advocate and you should be
too! Next time you complain about
the price of gas, make a resolution
to drive less and get involved with a
local group of individuals in your
area that are just as fed up as you
are. Next time you moan when
you're in agony from a tooth ache,
and it cost you $225 on your credit
card because you don't have
adequate health coverage, get
involved. Next time you find yourself
at the end of a long line at the
bank, post office, supermarket, or
on hold for 20 minutes while trying
to get answers to life's enigmas, get
with a group! Groups of like minded
individuals can accomplish much
more than the individual. Even the
rich start out as an individual. The
only difference between rich people
and poor people is that the rich can
afford to pay for their own group!

Let's try to avoid natural and man made
disasters and put CSIT on the map. I'll
give you the basics... the rest of the info
will cost you 2.5 million. A drop in the
bucket to promote domestic public safety!

Norwood Woman Missing for
Second Time
by David Greene

For the second time in less than six months,
police are asking the public's help in locating a
missing Norwood woman, who has reportedly
vanished from the Cross County Sopping Mall in
Yonkers.

On Saturday, January 23, police announced the
disappearance of Monica Gonzalez, 24, who was last seen at the mall at 2 p.m.,
Friday, January 22. Gonzalez is described as 5' 7'' tall, 140 pounds, with long
black hair and brown eyes. Gonzalez was last seen wearing a black North Face
jacket, blue jeans and brown boots.

According to published reports, Gonzalez disappeared from her Rochambeau
Avenue apartment on August 30, 2009, and was missing for at least 11 days. At
the time of her August disappearance, the NYPD stated she may have been
suffering from depression. However, this time the alert states she suffers from,
"poor mental health."

Information on Gonzalez' first disappearance and eventual return home were still
not available.

Anyone with information on Gonzalez' whereabouts is asked to call CrimeStoppers
at 1 (800) 577-TIPS.   #   #   #

Who speaks for the children?
by Timothy Allen Brown

What will happen to the world when it can’t
sustain the children. A strip mall parking lot
resides where the wilderness should have
been. Farming land is being sold for building
condo’s and new housing. O what a sin.
To watch the grove of growing tree’s being cut
down just to make a land fill where our
garbage and toxic waste go to making them
areas that could kill. Man’s inexhaustible
growth has caused nature to bend to his every
will.

Who speaks for the children?  I do!

I watch them play at the park all day with
nothing more then just a ball.
They laugh and joke with their friends while
walking down the hall.
We buy them pagers and cell phones so they
can answer when we call.
But is our technology doing damage to their
bodies every day. Is the radiation coming from
electronics causing some forms of cancer, but
who’s to say. Pollution’s causing holes in the
ozone keeping us all inside, not getting
enough vitamin D from the sun’s rays.

Who speaks for the children? You do!

Chemical companies load their trucks with
toxic waste to be dumped in our lakes to save
on removal costs while the mercury level
found in fish has made them almost inedible.
The water is contaminated this is such a loss
We're a disposable society that makes
everything we don’t need garbage that we
toss.

There has to be a change in our society
before there’s nothing left Recycling and
manufacturing process have to be upgraded
to something more adept before this life
sustaining ecosystem has become inept
