Internship Program

Today more than ever, the youth in our communities need help from
successful business owners and entrepreneurs. Emphasis has been
appropriately placed on education during the past few decades.
However, it is well known that education without experience translates
to significantly lower entry level salaries for recent college graduates.
Teenagers and college students typically work at jobs in fields
unrelated to their major or industry. Although society is grateful to well
known food chains for employing our youth, it doesn't do much to
enhance their resume.

ANDROID Internship Programs are designed to help place young
minds into employment scenarios which are mutually beneficial to both
parties. Business owners are acutely aware just how difficult it is to find
and retain good workers. The employment process in and of itself is
not only time consuming, but has costs associated with it. Needless to
say, by the time you place and ad, interview, hire, and train for a
position, the applicant is already looking for a better deal. A deal that is
more suited to their personal situation and educational plans. Our
foundation is available to assist both students/interns and business
owners in this process.

ANDROID is a conduit though which business owners can find
motivated individuals, and students/interns can find accommodating
employers. Placing appropriate importance on both the employer and
the intern, the foundation's goals are to:

  • Identify the employer's hiring requirements
  • Plug the right intern into the equation
  • Provide on going consulting to both employer and intern

The next phase is to insure that each
hiring solution remains a
"win/win" situation. We accomplish this during the on going consultation
which is in place to streamline the program for measurable
improvements. In order for both parties to receive appreciable benefits,
employers need
consistency, while interns need accommodations. The
trade off is achieved through third party intervention.

Primary Objectives

  1. Create employment opportunities for college students, or college
    bound individuals.
  2. Match accommodating employers with appropriate interns.
  3. Evaluate each hiring solution.

The evaluation process serves two useful purposes:

  1. It insures continuity of the program by identifying underlying
problems that would tend to discourage continued employer
    participation.
  2. It provides a basis for rating intern performance for the purpose
of building valuable on the job experience specifically to
    enhance the individual's resume.

Education plus work experience translates to higher starting salaries
for our future college graduates. Outstanding employee evaluations
during the process will open doors for the program participants.

Evaluation Process

When an intern signs up for our program, they are assessed for a
current skills level. Their educational goals are identified along with any
special needs they may have in order to maintain a balance between
work and study. This is not an employment process. It is an intern
program designed to build skills, while creating economic opportunity
for the participants during the formative years when work habits are
developed. Screened interns are matched with screed employers.
Interns know full well that the better they perform while in the program,
the better their evaluation will be. The more skills learned and
experience gained, the better their resume will be. Participants in this
program can potentially surpass employer hiring requirements after
graduation, in which case, our primary directives have been met.
