Did you Know?
Coffee is a seed of a berry. A
common myth alleges that coffee
was originally discovered by a
goat herder named Kaldi. After
watching his heard of goats
become frisky after eating berries
from this unknown bush, he ate
them himself, and found these
berries gave him a renewed vigor.
Coffee + Health Issues
Coffee has been studied for more
than a century. For every report
that alleges a potential health risk,
another may discredit or show
benefits. It is generally agreed that
pregnant women should limited
their coffee consumption. Did you
know that drinking a cup of coffee
can help calm an acute attack of
asthma? Coffee has many positive
effects.

THE ALL GIRL SENSATION WINS
A DODGE GRAND CARAVAN
FROM ABC'S THE VIEW
If you fell in love with the super all
female bands of the 80's and 90's, you're
going to absolutely adore The Vesties.
The New York City based Vesties fuse
eclectic regional influences and an
energetic urban edge to form a power
trio that is all-girl, with a sound that's all
their own. Their raw mix of rock, pop,
metal, and even a tinge of country,
reflects a background as diverse as the
city they call their second home. With
hometowns in South Carolina, Florida,
and California, The Vesties draw
musical inspiration from their
experiences as young girls who
migrated to NYC with dreams of rock 'n'
roll.
Willow, Mary Jane, and Julie have been
playing their hard-driving songs across
NYC for the last two years, filling local
venues with both new and diehard fans.
With Willow on keyboard and bass, Julie
on guitar, and Mary Jane on the drums,
the trio belts out two-part harmonies,
blistering power chords, and catchy
keyboard melodies.
Recently, The Vesties finished recording
11 songs with the production team of
Joe Guido (Koala, the Brats) and Scott
Sheets (Pat Benatar Band, the Brats) at
Joe Blaney Recording Studios (The
Clash) in NYC. Mixing was handled by
Ray Martin (Gorillaz (remix), Government
Mule, Madonna, Jessica Simpson, Good
Charlotte). Mastered at Bionic Mastering
by Tom Hutten. The cd is now available
on cdbaby.com.
With all the iconoclastic emotion of
twenty-somethings trying to make it in
the big city, The Vesties deliver a
powerful combo of determination and
flair. They are The Vesties!

Sex Industry Act

THE PETITION
The Sex Industry is defined
as an industry where Sex
workers may be employed
as prostitutes, strippers,
go-go dancers, burlesque
performers, escorts,
dominatrices, peepshow
workers, phone sex
operators, hustlers, foot
fetish models, brothel
workers, or porn stars
among other things. Some
sex workers are paid to
engage in sex acts which
involve varying degrees of
physical contact with
clients. Other sex workers
are paid to engage in live
sexual performance, such
as web cam sex and phone
sex. Others are paid
merely to be companions.
The petition to create a bill
does not in any way
oppose the Sex Industry.
Its entire purpose is to
increase the minimum legal
age for sex workers from
18 to 21.
DESIRED OUTCOME
The petition is to garner
support to pass a bill in
NYS to raise the minimum
age of sex industry workers
from 18 to 21 to prevent
the commercial exploitation
of young people.
WHO WE NEED TO
INFLUENCE
The petition needs to
influence the legislators of
NY, NJ, & CT in phase one,
and the Congress of the
United States in phase two.

2 MILLION MARCH
ON CAPITOL HILL
An editorial by Patrick Lynch
on an article from the Mail Online
that appeared on Prison
Planet.TV 13th September 2009
So the voice of the people
have spoken and the
mouth-piece of the regime
has 'misrepresented' the
numbers. The lowest
popularity rating ever for an
American president are
numbers enough. Even
CNN rigged a poll on that
and were caught with their
pants down. The people
are not as dumbed down as
the tyrants believed, having
spent billions of tax payers
money ensuring they are.
The mass media, or should
I say, occult mass-media,
must be chasing their tails
whilst pocketing their blood
money.
Obama has said that, "If
you misrepresent what's in
the plan, we'll call you out".
Well, Obama is
representing the
eugenics-based health
care plan and has been
called out by the people
today. It is the people who
will not accept the elitist,
status quo any longer.
I grieve for the future of
humanity when I think of the
elites plans for it. Today,
humanity screamed at them
but the bankers sit in the
chairs and no doubt laugh.
They already have it in
their means to wipe
humanity out. I suspect the
reason they have not
already done so is that they
enjoy the slow sacrifice
ritual. So they poison the
fresh air with chemtrails,
poison the foo, steal and
hoard the money and gold,
murder people with flu
vaccines, fly planes into
buildings and blow up
London tubes. How they
must revel in their dark
plans.
But, there is one thing that
they fear most above all
things. You. You, your
family and your will to be
good. Your willingness to
stand up , march and
speak out against their
puppets. Your awakening.
Your strength in numbers.
When the next war comes,
and it will, if you are serving
in the armed forces.
Refuse. Go to jail if need
be. Encourage others to
really defend your country
against the true terrorists .
The scum in office. The
ones who don't care about
you or your county and
revel in sending you to your
death.
It IS too late to change
things from the inside but,
inside you is the real power.

POLLYTALK FROM NEW YORK
By Polly Guerin
September 14, 2009
NEW YORK CITY FASHION CAPITAL
OF THE WORLD
Fashion’s Night Out hit the streets on July l0th
with a big bang right on the heels of the Spring
2010 collections in Bryant Park this week. St.
George’s Choral Society rehearsals begin,
George Barbier at ADSNY, Reinventing Ritual at
The Jewish Museum and Romance Writers
Golden Apple Awards gala. Here’s the scoop!!!
Get Ready for an exciting new season of choral
music. Do you sing or know people who sing and
might be interested in joining the St. George’s
Choral Society? After a successful and
energetic season 2008-2009 the St. George’s
Choral Society the longest running choral
society in New York City is ready for another
great year of making music under the artistic
direction of Matthew Lewis. Rehearsals start on
Wednesday, September 16 at 7 pm at St.
George’s Chapel, 4 Rutherford Place (eastside
between 2nd and 3rd Ave). The Holiday Concert
(organ and Brass) is scheduled for Dec. 5 at 7:
30pm. Program to include Gabrielli: Hodie
Christus natus est, Britten: A Hymn to the Virgin,
Poulenc: Quatre Motets pour le Temps de noel
and Vaughan Williams: Hodie: A Christmas
Cantata. Christmas carols, too. It’s a friendly
group that encourages good singing.
Rehearsals are every Wednesday. For an
audition contact www.stgeorgeschoralsociety.
org or call 646.345.8172.
Ready, Set Go for Fashion!!! The shows are
bigger than ever with 177 collections galloping
up at the runway gate at Bryant Park. The
Spring 2010 collections sent out silhouettes from
the chic to the tomboy and even gypsies, but I
wonder how many of these looks will make it to
the department stores and furthermore , will the
budget concerned consumer even fall fashion
victim to the style maker’s collections? Diane
von Furstenberg took off on the gypsy theme
but I ask you, would a modern day career
woman be able to wear those wispy chiffon
dresses to work? As for Chado Ralph Rucci his
chick black suit with gossamer chiffon blouse
might be a hit with the desk set. That Victoria
Beckham knows a thing or two about what
women want and sent out more girlish shapes,
open-worked lace over a bandeau and briefs for
those who dare to bare their essentials. For full
run of shows, video, backstage coverage and
more on party and Scoop images see www.wwd.
com.
Fall’s hottest ticket is George Barbier, who
epitomized early Art Deco Fashion Illustration
gets his due just hot off the presses in a new
coffee-table book, “George Barbier: The Birth
of Art Deco (Rizzoli). The French Artist lived life
fabulously in the floodlights and the book
showcases his work with famed jeweler, Louis
Cartier and haute designer Paul Poiret. He also
designed advertisements for Renault cars and
Abdullah cigarettes, wallpaper, glassware and
other decorative arts. Multi-faceted he also
designed the costumes which Rudolph Valentino
wore in the 1924 silent film Monsieur Beaucaire.
Hear all about the wonderful world of Barbier at
the Art Deco Society of New York’s event, this
Thursday, Sept. 17 at the American Association
of University Women, 111 East 37th St. from
6pm to 9pm/reception afterward. Contact Kathy
Hausman, president of ADSNY at info@artdeco.
