THE BRONX PAINTBALL SOCIETY
By Hector Farrulla (August 28, 2006)
Player Profile: MR. James Penn
I would like to introduce to you, my good friend Mr James Penn.
Born In Queens, NY, he now resides in Long Island. James is
certified with The Paintball Technical Institute as a Master air
smith. Playing paintball since 1993, He now holds a C1, C2, C3,
C4 and C5 class licenses under his belt. The man can modify, and
repair, just about any paintball marker and air system on this
earth. He has done top notch work on all of my high end markers.
James runs the indoor facilities at High Velocity in Babylon, New
York, and is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He
also knows the game. James has competed with well known teams
such as High Velocity, Lost Blues, and ECX Factor, back when the
NPPL and the PSP were merged. He placed 4th with High Velocity.
Paintball has taken him all over the United States and abroad. His
road tour has landed him in Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles,
Atlantic City, Philadelphia, and Gettysburg. However, he told me
the nicest place paintball has taken him was to sunny Aruba.
We have great laughs at the indoor facility, where the warm
friendly atmosphere really makes everyone feel welcomed. It's like
one big family there! I asked him if he had any advice, as a
professional technician, for the paintball players who are reading?
He says, "DO NOT try to repair your markers and equipment
yourself!" James has fixed countless expensive markers that
owners have tried to repair themselves, to no avail. He said that;
"Half of the time, major damage is done by the owners trying to
make repairs themselves. A qualified airsmith will be able to repair
any marker." Great advice from a professional.
Thanks to James and the staff at High Velocity for the making this
article possible.
