Team BPS Product Review Section: The team reviews their personal gear
Team BPS strives to be the best paintball team of all time, so its only
natural that we invest in the best professional equipment that money can
buy. Collectively, there is literally thousands invested in our gear, some
that works great, and some that doesn’t. Here, we are committed to
bringing you the truth in paintball, and its products. Because we are not
sponsored by any major paintball companies, you may rest to sure that
our opinion will not be biased towards anything but the truth. Everyone
has their own experience with their gear, and here, we share ours. We
use what the pros use, because professionals are furnished with the latest
and top performing equipment available. We do research on our
investments and see how well they work for others, as well. We inquire,
then we buy. We use, then list our results here. While many contributing
factors can result in different performance issues, we will inform you of our
setups in full ,so that you may get an understanding of how the gear
works as a whole.
Since this is our 1st review, we will start with the most important piece of
equipment in paintball: eye and face protection. Any kind of paintball that
you play requires safety masks so as to not injure your eyes. Paintballs fly
at over 200 mph, and up to 300 feet per second, so it’s a no brainer that
you want to protect your eyesight. Paintball goggles and masks are
specifically made to withstand the impact of a paintballs, and paintball
goggle manufacturers must meet ASTM standards.(American Society For
Testing And Materials).
Today , I am reviewing the JT Axiom FX10 goggle system, witch I use
personally in every game. This goggle system utilizes a quick change lens
system, offers thermal protection to help eliminate fog and condensation
of body heat, and offers a 290 degree range of vision .Its clarity is superb
and the system is extremely comfortable to wear. It has a removable visor
to help eliminate glare, witch helps, but id rather it was made of a more
durable material, and not the flexible plastic kind it comes with. Jt also
makes a fan system that circulates warm air within the lenses, and snaps
into the unit, witch I highly recommend. Although this model is about two
years old, it works great. I recommend getting an extra set of lenses just in
case. When the goggles 1st came out I paid around $70 but you can find
them today brand new for just $30. I think that’s an excellent price for the
value of this product. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give these goggles a 9.3,
based on comfort, performance, protection and style.
