Stretching helps avoid injuries
Quick easy tips that work:

Any athlete in any sport in the world will tell you that their
stretching regimen is one of the most important aspects of their
training. Warming up, stretching, and warming down helps keep
athletes in top physical condition, and keeps their muscles ready
for action. Paintball is no exception. As we run, dive and slide into
our bunkers, Our muscles and tendons are being stretched and
extended beyond normal use. While we use these same body
parts on a daily basis while working or doing everyday chores,
We push ourselves past the limits during sports activities. And not
properly warming up and stretching before sports or exercise can
cause serious injuries. Muscle cramps, muscle tears, pulls of
muscles and or tendons and ligaments aren’t just painful, they
can lead to permanent damage. And permanent damage means
never being able to play your sport again. Many professional
athletes have had to end their careers early due to these type of
injuries. And these guys train diligently. You must use caution
when engaged in any level of sports or exercise from amateur to
pro levels. And everyone should stretch to help with their balance
and coordination, as stretching also decreases chances of
injuries and decreases fatigue.

As safety ambassadors to paintball, The Bronx Paintball Society
stretches before each and every practice session, recreation
game, or tournament, to keep its members safe from injuries. We
do, together as a team, a series of leg exercises that include, but
are not limited to, squats, calf stretches, hamstring stretches,
quadriceps stretches, lower back flexion stretches, shoulder
stretches and neck rolls. I constantly look online for sites that may
offer ways for my team to stay warmed up. A few great sites that
are dedicated to helping with stretching and conditioning are:
www.mayoclinic.com, and www.nismat.org. These sites helped me
gather the info needed for this story. Check em out for tons more.

While stretching is important, it is not everything. Nutrition, proper
safety wear and apparel, footwear, hydration, and just knowing
your own physical limitations can help in preventing a serious
injury when playing paintball or any other sport.
We invite you to visit Team BPS online and follow
our progress in our quest for the NPPL Series.

like any other active sport, paintball
requires training a preparation.
Taking time to properly stretch out
your muscle groups is one more way
of avoiding injury.
