Survival Of The Fittest
By Andrew Perretti

It's safe to say we "all" live in a
consumer oriented society. Each one
of us has to consume in order to
survive. Society, however,  has taught
us to consume more than what we
need, including the air we breath
which oxygenates our blood. Why is it
then, that when it comes down  to
choosing between something as
important as food sources to fuel our
bodies, versus spending money on
other "things" which presumably
makes life more comfortable,
convenient, or interesting, we
succumb to multimedia influences?
Multimedia is a multi-prong attack on
our senses from televisions, radios,
cell phones that broadcast, i-pods,
interactive video games; and if that's
not enough, every other form of 20th
century printable matter thrown at us
on a daily basis.
Consumers fall prey to
mind altering commercial exploitation which
is actually capable of affecting our evolution
on this planet as a species. We've grown to
accept that if we see it on television often
enough, it must be good for us, and because
we are all "consumers" by our very nature,
we consume it.

The Energy Crisis of 2008
By Thomas J. Donohue,

In just one year, crude oil prices have soared from $65 per barrel to as high as $135. The
price of gas is now $4 a gallon.

These runaway energy prices are punishing an economy that is already weak. Millions of
small businesses and families on tight budgets are struggling.

How has Congress responded? In recent days, lawmakers have voted to allow lawyers to
sue OPEC. They have moved legislation to raise taxes on energy producers. And the Senate
is considering a climate change bill that would actually raise fuel and power prices for every
American family and business.

Energy prices are high and headed higher because supply is not keeping up with demand.
By 2030, the world will need 60% more energy than it does today. Domestic demand will
increase by a third. Unless current production levels are increased, global oil demand will
soon outstrip supply.

When will our lawmakers and politicians acknowledge that the solution to the energy crisis
of 2008 is not more gimmicks--it's more production! More production of all kinds of domestic
energy--coal, oil, gas, nuclear, renewables, and alternative energy, along with greater
efficiency.

America must immediately tap more of its own vast energy resources. We have at least a
245-year supply of coal. We have 112 billion barrels of oil and at least 231 trillion cubic feet of
natural gas on our lands and off our shores. We have a clean, safe nuclear energy industry
that is underutilized. We have the capability to develop a new generation of clean and efficient
energy alternatives, including technologies to help us use traditional sources more cleanly.

Yet through laws, regulations, and lawsuits, we have locked away domestic energy and tied
the hands of our industries. We have not built a new oil refinery or nuclear power plant in
more than 30 years. Even renewable energy projects like wind power have been delayed by
"not in my backyard" opposition. >

Andrew;

I'm about to take the
stage in St. Paul and
announce that we have
won the Democratic
nomination for President
of the United States.

It's been a long journey,
and we should all pause
to thank Hillary Clinton,
who made history in this
campaign. Our party and
our country are better off
because of her.

I want to make sure you
understand what's ahead
of us. Earlier tonight,
John McCain outlined a
vision of America that's
very different from ours
-- a vision that continues
the disastrous policies of
George W. Bush.

But this is our moment.
This is our time. Our time
to turn the page on the
policies of the past and
bring new energy and
new ideas to the
challenges we face. Our
time to offer a new
direction for the country
we love.

It's going to take hard
work, but thanks to you
and millions of other
donors and volunteers,
no one has ever been
more prepared for such
a challenge.

Thank you for everything
you've done to get us
here. Let's keep making
history.

ICE Fugitive Operations
Teams Arrest 1,808
June 3, 2008

More than 1,800 criminal aliens,
immigration fugitives and
immigration violators have been
removed from the United States
or are facing deportation
following a month-long
enforcement effort in six states:
California, New Jersey, New
Mexico, New York, Tennessee,
and Texas. More than 70
percent of the aliens taken into
custody are immigration
fugitives or have criminal
histories.

"America will always welcome
those who wish to enter our
country legally, but for those
who flaunt our laws, know that
you will be removed,” said Julie
L. Myers, Assistant Secretary of
Homeland Security for ICE.

ICE.gov

Editorial: California estimates
over 10% of the populations is
undocumented aliens just in
L.A. County alone. 1,800 is like
a drop of rain water into the
ocean. In 1989, of the 2.1
million children enrolled in Medi-
Cal, 3.5% were undocumented
aliens, rising to 9.4% (of nearly
3 million Medi-Cal children) in
1992. In both years, over 90%
of these  undocumented
children were Hispanic,
compared to 34-40% of all other
children. It's time for real
solutions. CSIT will teach
English, safety, and provide a
methodology for undocumented
aliens to register for citizenship.
How? The same way our nation
has always done it... through
sponsorship! However, if each
city, county, state is left to their
own devices, a lack of funding
to execute a sound program will
just never make it to the top of
the budget "wish list".

CSIT can accomplish more with
less because it will define the
roles of states by OSHA region
versus city, state, and county
needs. For example; OSHA
Region II will apply CSIT
principles to NYC, Long Island,
Westchester, Rockland,
Northern New Jersey, and
Southern Connecticut. OSHA
reports to FEMA who is funding
by Home Land Security. Since
OSHA has federal jurisdiction,
the state lines can be blurred in
the interest of public safety and
community advocacy.

CSIT will designate authorized
Day Laborer Pick Up Points,
provide workers with a ITIN,
teach them English, on the job
safety, and all for the bargain
price of 2.5 million covering a
region not just an individual
state.

(An Individual Taxpayer
Identification Number (or ITIN) is
a United States tax processing
number issued by the Internal
Revenue Service. It is a nine-
digit number that begins with
the number 9 and has a 7 or 8
in the fourth digit, example 9xx-
7x-xxxx or 9xx-8x-xxxx. The IRS
issues ITINs to individuals who
are required to have a taxpayer
identification number but who
do not have, and are not
eligible to obtain, a Social
Security Number). Now we can
consider a DMV license....

regarding S6045A -
Abortion Privacy Act
It is my wish to make known my objections to
proposed bill
S6045A - Abortion Privacy Act,
sponsored by Andrea Stewart Cousins. There
are many concerning and objectionable items
in this bill including the definitions of
pregnancy which open doors which should not
be opened. Those doors could easily provide
an avenue for people to 'farm' babies for stem
cell research and turn life into a business. It is
also clearly stated in this bill that abortion will
be allowed up until the 24th week of
pregnancy, which is in essence, opening the
door to bring back partial birth abortion which
would be calamitous to the moral climate in our
country. There is also very vague explanation
of this Abortion Privacy and how it will affect
the notification of parents of a young female
opting for a 'secret' abortion. This is unlawful
and violates every law we have in the country
about parental protection and rights to
approve or disprove of medical procedures on
their children. It does the same with
contraception, which makes it possible for
children to utilize contraceptives with
potentially very serious future consequences
without their parents knowledge. Under 6024 -
A3, the bill proposes that care should be given
to any 'live birth' due to an abortion, but the
abortion should not be delayed to secure a
second physician's attendance to the child.
That's sick!

In the articles relating to termination of
pregnancy due to the danger to the mother,
there is a term for that - it is called delivery.
You deliver the child and hope for the best.
Sometimes the child is not of a viable age, but
there are many times when the child does
survive if given the chance. To add this to the
bill is, in my view, a complete violation of the
rights of the unborn child who has a chance of
survival outside the mother's womb. This also,
then, opens the door to partial birth abortion
because those who don't want to take chances
will simply suck out the brain before birth so
they don't have to be bothered with the delay
of a live birth and getting a pediatrician in
attendance.

This bill is written from a very liberal point of
view, and one that I believe is totally against
the morals of this nation and what we say we
stand for. Please vote against it, please
terminate this bill - not more unborn children.

Many Thanks,
Marilynn Hughes

Public Safety Has To
Come First
by Andrew Perretti

One would think that in the wake of
911, our respective branches of
government would have figured this
out already! Instead, they just
passed the buck on to a new super
agency called Homeland Security.
Fine. If that's the best you can do
on a federal level, then Uncle Sam
needs to give latitude to each state
to input some numbers in the
equation and see where the
funding needs to be. This worked in
the past where the federal
government would concede
domestic decision making and
policy to the individual states.
Great! So let's not sit back and wait
until each state  engages this
process while precious time is being
wasted!

IBC Solutions is not standing by idle
while the incumbents in NYS
maintain a status quo that hasn't
worked thus far. Einstein referred to
this as the definition of insanity.
One can not expect change without
adding variables into the equation.
NYS politicians need to engage the
process and propose constituent
based amendments that address
each need for change. So far, the
only thing our legislators have
proven is that they are good fund
raisers, and know how to comply
with party politics. They are great at
schmoozing around town, enjoying
free food, and ego building
attention that distracts them for
doing the job they were hired to do.
They are adapts at skirting direct
questions, not keeping their
promises, and putting their political
careers first.  In essence, they are
all full of sh%t, or we wouldn't be
paying $4.50 for a gallon of milk,
$3.45 for a gallon of gas, and $3.49
for a loaf of 9 grain bread! How do
they have the b%lls to ask for
donations from people who can
barely pay their mortgages, with
high interest credit card debt, car
insurance that's through the roof,
student loans over-due, child
support judgments, unpaid utility
bills, and no food in the refrigerator
is beyond me!

We need advocates for change
that are not going to go with the
flow. We need reliable
representatives that don't
mindlessly cosponsor bills just to
garner support for a trade-off down
the road. We need enthusiastic
leaders that put the people first, the
government second and
themselves last in all processes;
not self serving individuals who only
care about staying in office no
matter what the cost. We need
candidates that don't spend a
whole year trying to advance their
careers while the job they were
elected to do is neglected and the
people who hired them suffer. We
need a change period the end...

I'm engaged, and I don't mean
engaged to be married! I'm not a
candidate, nor am I a minister. I'm
an advocate and you should be
too! Next time you complain about
the price of gas, make a resolution
to drive less and get involved with a
local group of individuals in your
area that are just as fed up as you
are. Next time you moan when
you're in agony from a tooth ache,
and it cost you $225 on your credit
card because you don't have
adequate health coverage, get
involved. Next time you find yourself
at the end of a long line at the
bank, post office, supermarket, or
on hold for 20 minutes while trying
to get answers to life's enigmas, get
with a group! Groups of like minded
individuals can accomplish much
more than the individual. Even the
rich start out as an individual. The
only difference between rich people
and poor people is that the rich can
afford to pay for their own group!

Let's try to avoid natural and man made
disasters and put CSIT on the map. I'll
give you the basics... the rest of the info
will cost you 2.5 million. A drop in the
bucket to promote domestic public safety!
